What local government did, 13–19 April

Chatham County Schools' superintendent used his remarks on 14 April to affirm the district's compliance with federal civil-rights law while defending its diversity and inclusion work, in response to a U.S. Department of Education directive on Title VI certification. It is the only item in this entire record where a local official defends that work against a federal action by name.

The board also approved about $588,000 for 1,500 replacement Chromebooks and authorized school-safety grant money for camera upgrades, replacement video servers and a mental health services contract.

It is the only meeting collected in the region this week.

10 boards met across 4 governments, with 84 agenda items on file.
