What local government did, 23 February – 1 March

The number that has shaped Chatham County's planning ever since was delivered on 25 February. At a joint informational session of the school board and the county commissioners, a demographer said the district's new enrollment forecast is the most aggressive of roughly 250 the firm has produced since 1990. The driver is Chatham Park and more than fifty other pending residential developments, together totaling over 10,000 additional homes countywide.

It is the only meeting collected in the region this week. The two boards met on the same subject again in September and in March 2026.

10 boards met across 4 governments, with 65 agenda items on file.
