What local government did, 23–29 November

Thanksgiving week, and five meetings across the region. Only one carried a decision of any size.

Durham County's commissioners heard the 2025 State of the County address on 24 November and took two Research Triangle Park land-use hearings, including a privately initiated text amendment creating a new university and college district. That package covers 164 parcels across 5,059 acres, and the board had previewed it three weeks earlier.

Hillsborough's work session mixed consent business with two discussion topics, its consent list running to a Historic District Commission reappointment, budget amendments and three special event permits. Garner spent 25 November on briefings, with the inspections director updating the council on emergency preparedness across departments. Chapel Hill's council received an information packet with one item, a staff update on implementing the town's Climate Action Plan, and was asked only to receive it.

Knightdale's Board of Adjustment met on 25 November and published nothing a reader can check.

7 boards met across 7 governments, with 47 agenda items on file.
