    Speaker : John Collins, Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources Executive Summary: The USA Baseball National Training Complex Coleman Field Renovation project will provide a full renovation of the existing stadium field. This project, which is fully funded by the hospitality tax funding agreement between Cary and Wake County, will replace the nearly 18-year-old field, including drainage and irrigation systems. This project will take place once the current baseball season finishes and will be completed before the 2026 NCAA Division II National Championship tournament takes place.     Speaker: Rob Wilson, Planning and Development Services Executive Summary: In accordance with state law, the owners of property located at 5101 N.C. 55 Highway are requesting Council consent for the disinterment, removal, and reinterment of graves from an abandoned cemetery on their property. State law specifies procedures and requirements that property owners must follow for relocating graves, one of which includes securing the consent of the governing body of the jurisdiction in which the cemetery is located.     Speaker: Rachel Smith , Planning and Development Services Executive Summary: The owner of property located at 0 High House Road (on the corner of Bayoak Drive and High House Road) has petitioned for annexation of the property to develop residential detached dwellings. The property was recently rezoned (24-REZ-05) to allow for residential use, and development of the parcel will require connection to Cary utilities.     Speaker : Lisa Glover, Town Attorney’s Office Executive Summary: Since 2021, North Carolina and other states have negotiated over $50 billion in settlements from opioid distributors, pharmacies, and other entities. Cary has elected to participate in the settlements and direct its share of the settlement funds to Wake and Chatham counties to address the opioid epidemic. The North Carolina Department of Justice recently negotiated additional settlements with Purdue Pharma and its owners, the Sackler family, and with eight drug manufacturers.
