Meeting recap

What happened, drawn from the records published after the meeting. Minutes

The board set a rule for tenants who fall behind on repayment agreements: two missed payments in a row bring a warning by letter, phone and email, and a further missed payment brings a proposed termination. The chair moved it, Monica Richard seconded, and it passed unanimously on condition that participants are told of their right to appeal.

The program manager also proposed a repayment schedule tied to the amount owed, running from 12 months for debts up to $750 to 48 months for those between $4,000 and $5,000. On rents, she reported the authority's 2025 payment standard will be set at 100 percent of the fair market rents. Five members attended the virtual meeting, and nobody spoke at public comment.

How the votes went

One recorded vote: the rule on missed repayment installments (a warning after two consecutive missed payments, a proposed termination after another) passed unanimously on the chair's motion, seconded by Monica Richard, on condition that participants are told of their right to appeal.
