The questions are the substance of what this board thinks is unresolved. Members noted that Carrboro has just approved more housing and that Orange County allows accessory dwelling units by right, and asked for the zoning rules of each municipality from planning staff. They also asked where the board should direct residents who raise questions about the planning process at community meetings.

On the 2050 land use plan, the third community engagement window, scheduled for May through July, has been postponed to give the county commissioners more time to review, with a draft plan to be unveiled later.
