What's on this agenda

Meeting recap

What happened, drawn from the records published after the meeting. Minutes

Both officer elections were unanimous. Members thanked the departing Cedar Grove Township representative, with the chair noting he had seen the board through contentious matters. One member offered a historical aside worth recording: the 1818 Boston building code, which he owns a copy of and believes is the oldest formal building code in America, ran to six pages including addenda, and New York's 1830 code to ten. His point to a board that reviews documents running to hundreds of pages was that simpler rules get followed.

How the votes went

Four unanimous votes: chair, vice chair, the minutes as amended, and adjournment.
