What's on this agenda
The Board of Equalization and Review's longest scheduled day of the 2025 appeal season: fifteen hearings booked at quarter-hour intervals from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM at West Campus. Most owners were listed as not appearing, which means the board decides on the written record and the appraiser's presentation.

Meeting recap
What happened, drawn from the records published after the meeting. Minutes
Sixteen appeals in two hours and fourteen minutes, and not one of them ended on the owner's number. Fifteen concerned real property and one a motor vehicle. In four the board made no change at all, including a vehicle assessed at $47,289 against an owner's opinion of $41,310, and a house assessed at $634,700 against $493,000. In ten it accepted a figure the tax office had already revised downward on its own review: $335,800 to $278,100, $1,113,100 to $1,069,600, $826,400 to $776,600, $368,600 to $331,000, and others. Two went further than the county asked, both by cutting land value: a parcel assessed at $50,300, which the county was prepared to drop to $7,500, was set at $4,700 on a 90 percent land adjustment; a vacant lot assessed at $175,000, which the county put at $75,000 and the owner at $80,000, was set at $50,000 on an 80 percent adjustment. Six of the sixteen owners attended. Twelve staff from the tax office were present, including seven appraisers.
How the votes went
Sixteen decisions, each carried on a motion and a second among the three regular members with no recorded opposition. Fourteen adopted the county's value unchanged or as revised; two set a value below what the county recommended.
