The board approved its 2024-2025 annual report without objection, which recounted the board's input on the state's Multi-Sector Plan on Aging, the town's AARP-recognized Age-Friendly Action Plan, a senior housing resources webpage, and an accessory dwelling unit ordinance amendment that took effect in June. CareYaya CEO Neal Shah briefed the board on the companion-caregiver matching service, covering caregiver pay and training, how students are matched with families, and regional collaboration ideas. Staff reminded members the October meeting is canceled for the Senior Center's 24th anniversary celebration, and the council liaison noted new board members will join in October and that Secretary Marshall will visit the Senior Center on September 19.
