Two items are worth following. The budget and capital plan ramifications item picks up where the council left off in November, when staff told it that many parks and environment projects had been deferred because a $300 million school bond and $100 million more for school renovations had first call on the money. This is where the council learns what survived.

The other is a marker at Blackwood Farm Park brought by the Human Relations Commission, which suggests the county's civil rights body has something it wants recorded on that land.

The trails plan status report follows the two public workshops that drew about 70 people between them and the consultants' presentation to the commissioners in October 2025. The council also has an acting parks superintendent to meet.
