The commission unanimously found the application consistent with the district's design standards and approved it with two conditions: staff review of the west elevation's window and door placement, and staff approval of window specifications against the design standards compatibility matrix. Commissioners discussed the unusual flag-lot siting, noting the house would sit far back from the street behind an existing front parcel, preserving a 40-inch oak tree, and would be difficult to see from the street. They also debated whether a street-facing garage was appropriate for the house's style, ultimately agreeing it was not incongruent given site constraints from the tree and driveway.
