The commission recommended the council approve both the consistency resolution and the zoning ordinance for the 701 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd conditional zoning application, adding a request that the ordinance incorporate agreed design features from a staff memo. For the 115 Chapel Point Road application, the commission likewise recommended approval of both the resolution and ordinance. On the 860 Weaver Dairy Road mixed-use rezoning, the commission did not vote to recommend for or against the application; instead, it directed a member to compile the group's discussion notes into comments for the town council's own review of the case. The meeting ran until 11:05 p.m.

How the votes went

With only four of seven members present, the commission voted unanimously to recommend approval of the Resolution of Consistency and the Ordinance for 701 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, adding a recommendation to incorporate design-feature language from a staff memo. It also voted unanimously to recommend approval of the Resolution and Ordinance for 115 Chapel Point Road and to authorize the chair to compile its comments for the council. On 860 Weaver Dairy Road, the commission took no vote on the application itself but voted unanimously to authorize a member to compile its comments and send them to the council.
